Peck Motorsports and Stopain Announce 2012 Partnership

Glenville, Pa. – (May 7, 2012) – Peck Motorsports and Troy Healthcare, LLC, makers of Stopain topical pain relief products, today announced their partnership for the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race season with driver Todd Peck.  Stopain, an all-American company, becomes the first official primary sponsor of the race team for the season and will be showcased in the minimum of five race events the team will compete in this season beginning at the Iowa Speedway on July 14.  In addition, Stopain will partner with the team to continue to promote the Arthritis Foundation through various race and Foundation events planned throughout the year including Arthritis Foundation Walks and Jingle Bell Run and Walks.

The announcement, along with the unveiling of the No. 96 Stopain/Arthritis Foundation NASCAR Camping World Series truck, was made today at Stopain’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Hazleton, Pa..  The partnership became a natural fit for both Peck Motorsports and Stopain, who both have history and strong relationships with the Arthritis Foundation and are committed to raising awareness for those living with arthritis and chronic pain.

“Our mission is to help manage pain so people can lead richer and healthier lives,” said Anthony Cicini, Vice President of Stopain.  “Stopain has been helping people manage pain caused by arthritis since 1991. We also have been a proceeds sponsor with the National Arthritis Foundation since 2005 and that’s what makes this partnership a perfect fit. It also gives us an opportunity to introduce NASCAR fans who may be living with arthritis, muscles aches, back pain, and other forms of chronic pain to the Stopain brand.  After meeting and learning more about Todd Peck, and seeing all that he has done for the Arthritis Foundation and juvenile arthritis, it became very easy for us to partner with the team.  Peck Motorsports believes in the same goals and values as we do, on and off the track, and we want people to live enriched lives.  This partnership will only help us carry this message to race fans and others across the country.”

The timing of the sponsorship also coincides with Arthritis Action Month throughout the month of May.  Peck Motorsports and Stopain will immediately begin their off- track promotion this week with appearances in downtown Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 8th on Front Street at noon along with appearances at the Harrisburg (Pa.) Senators minor league game both Tuesday night, May 8th and Wednesday morning, May 9th.  In addition, Peck Motorsports and Stopain will team together during the Central Pennsylvania Arthritis Walk at Hershey Park on May 19th.

“This is really a great day for our team and everyone who has supported us throughout the years,” said Todd Peck, driver of the No. 96 Stopain/Arthritis Foundation truck for Peck Motorsports.  “Last season we began our collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation and did some cool events to help raise awareness. We also did a lot with juvenile arthritis as well, something I fought growing up and still fight today.  Having a partner like Stopain, who has partnered with the Arthritis Foundation since 2005, will only make us stronger on the track and help us speak even louder off it.”

Already proceeds of Stopain are donated to the Arthritis Foundation.  Now, Peck Motorsports and Stopain will carry the Arthritis Foundation and Kids Get Arthritis Too logos together on the No. 96 truck throughout the five races in which the team plans to compete.  The team also plans to bring kids who suffer from juvenile arthritis to the track.

“It’s truly awesome to see a company like Stopain come on board to partner with Peck Motorsports,” said Ben Mann, Senior Director of Talent Management & State Policy of the Mid-Atlantic Arthritis Foundation.  “Both companies have already done so much for the Foundation on their own, but this partnership will now allow us to benefit in an even greater way.  We can’t say in words how grateful we are for that.  We’re blessed to have a program like this promoting awareness of Arthritis and the Foundation.  This is already a winning program before they even get to the track.”

The team’s first race with Stopain will be at the Iowa Speedway on July 14, then continue August 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway, September 15 at Iowa Speedway, September 21 at Kentucky Speedway and finally November 9 at Phoenix International Raceway.
